    The mechanical trowel is a machine used for the smoothing of all surfaces requiring the flatness of a ground concrete, covers of garages, pavements industrial, hangars, commercial surfaces, halls of hotels, shopping centers…

     

    This machine knows several names: mechanical trowel, helicopter, mechanical smoothing machine…

     

    Floating and smoothing can be carried out by means of mechanical trowels whose diameter of work reaches 1,20 m for the models with simple rotor or 2,20 m for the models with double rotor.

     

    The materials can be equipped with blades of outline which ensure floating and allow the penetration of the aggregates, then of blades of completion which carry out smoothing.

     

    There are also mixed blades which combine the two functions, the mechanical trowel or the mechanical smoothing machine

     

    In all the cases, floating must be made when the concrete started to take, 6 to approximately 7 a.m. after the casting.
